The days are slowly drawing out and spring is on its way!
Welcome in the season with a visit to Hawarden Old Castle and explore local history amongst idyllic park land scattered with a bright fanfare of daffodils.
The Old Castle opens it gates for a series of popular charity events throughout the year, the first of which for 2023 will be on the 6th of March.
Access is from the big blue gates opposite The Glynne Arms or from the entrance at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop.
You can book tickets here and all proceeds go to a local charity.
All children must be accompanied and please be aware that the paths up to the castle are steep. All dogs are welcome on leads.
