If you are a local, or a regular visitor to Hawarden, you will have noticed that the Farm Shop and The Glynne Arms are currently closed, but not for long!
The exciting news is that things are not standing still and lots of work has been going on behind the scenes over the past few months.
The Farm Shop, having had a busy autumn and festive season, has been closed since the end of 2020 as a result of local COVID19 lockdown restrictions. However, you would be wrong to think that that was an excuse for the Farm Shop team to put their feet up. Instead, this time has been spent installing a brand new bakery which will be serving delicious fresh bread and pastries every day.
Another tasty development is the shop’s new range of products made from produce grown on the Estate, you can’t get more local than that. The ‘Ours’ range will include raspberry jam, wild garlic pesto, and honey from Estate hives.
The Farm Shop will be reopening soon, but the good news is, you don’t have to wait to sample the new range.
The Glynne Arms, having served the community as a local produce shop during the first lockdown, has been closed for some time now. The team have been busy redecorating, refurbishing and developing a brand new menu.
We are excited to hear that The Glynne will be reopening for takeaway food and hot drinks on 17th February. They will be serving sandwiches and coffee during the day and hot meals in the evenings. The Glynne will also be stocking the Ours range and a selection of bottled wines and beers to take away.
We can’t wait to see our two favourite Hawarden venues open to the public again.
